Relatable Mom Gossip Moments

I just want to say that your feelings are valid AF. Thank you for giving me perspective on this topic. I am frequently guilty of this, myself, and will seek to try and be more restrained on behalf of my own children going forward. ❤️

It’s pretty normal or moms to share news with family and friends, more so that they can help or maybe they have connects or offer sympathy. Most of the time, people don’t think that something needs to be kept private unless told to. I think your mom talking bout job loss, isn’t gossip but more so I cant believe they fired her, oh I know of someone hiring. Or, yeah Jenny’s doing good. She lost her job so she’s looking for a new one. Oh that sucks, the job market this month is awful. Not everyone is like that, but they also don’t see it as gossip and more so just talking about the daily life and struggles of the family. I say, if you’re a more private person, then you should clarify that you want your private life not talked about with the rest of the family. I wouldn’t think to not share my kids jobless or other issues n struggles and triumphs with my sister or friends over a casual lunch, and most others don’t as well. I think when they tell you that your being too dramatic that it’s more that they don know why you’d want to keep it private instead of sharing with the family because it’s nothin to hide, or be ashamed of. I say talk to your mom, and tell her how you feel mad give her a list of te topics that you prefer to keep private so she knows and why. This should help her respect your boundaries and help your relationship.
